You already know it! Usually, you have seen &#8220;que tu fasses&#8221;, &#8220;que je sois&#8221;, &#8220;qu&#8217;il vienne&#8221; since you started reading French!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The subjunctive is a verb tense and is often seen as something complicated, but with practice it becomes very easy! To put it simply, the subjunctive is a &#8220;mode&#8221; of verb conjugation (if you already know two other modes: the indicative (je suis, tu es&#8230;) and the conditional (je serais, tu serais&#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quand utiliser le subjonctif <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>La grande question c&#8217;est quand utiliser le subjonctif ? Pour faire court, tu vas l&#8217;utiliser principalement : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dans les cas suivants<\/span> :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Un souhait<\/strong> : J&#8217;aimerais que tu sois l\u00e0 !<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une volont\u00e9<\/strong> : Je souhaite que mes parents se sentent fiers de moi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une obligation<\/strong> : Il faut que tu viennes \u00e0 la r\u00e9union.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Un ordre<\/strong> : J&#8217;exige que vous parliez couramment le fran\u00e7ais !<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une \u00e9motion <\/strong>: Je suis heureux(se) qu&#8217;il fasse beau aujourd&#8217;hui.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une opinion \u00e0 la forme n\u00e9gative<\/strong> : Je ne pense pas que le fran\u00e7ais soit une langue compliqu\u00e9e.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Un doute <\/strong>: Je doute qu&#8217;il ait r\u00e9ussi son examen de math\u00e9matiques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une possibilit\u00e9<\/strong> : Il se peut qu&#8217;il pleuve demain matin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9<\/strong> : Il est n\u00e9cessaire que tu prennes soin de ta sant\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Apr\u00e8s certaines conjonctions :<\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bien qu\u2019il soit fran\u00e7ais, il se lave souvent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avant que je sois partie, terminer vos exercices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group note-highlight is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Attention !
